- Discourage any nesting and take away any toy she may be trying to nurse
- Keep her busy with plenty of walks etc
- If she has swollen teats you may be able to reduce the swelling with vinegar compresses ( 1 cup of vinegar to 1 litre of cold water). Soak an old tea towel in the vinegar mix, squeeze it dry and then lay it on her. If you keep the tea towel in the solution in the fridge it will be good to go whenever you need it!
