Waterlilies prefer calm, still water, away from fountains, pumps, cascades or other turbulence. Plant Nymphaea James Brydon water lilies in full sun to promote flowering. They are best planted in aquatic compost, or heavy clay-based loam, in an aquatic basket. The cup-shaped flowers of this enchanting water lily are a rich carmine-red, and look very striking set against the green, maroon-flecked foliage.
